ACP diagnosed with swine flu dies at Hyderabad hospital

An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) working in Warangal district of Telangana, who was recently diagnosed with swine flu died today at a private hospital here.

Wardhannapet ACP M Durgaiah Yadav (51), who had tested positive for swine flu last week was shifted to a hospital here from Warangal.

"The ACP who was suffering with ill health for the past few days has died today while undergoing treatment at a hospital in Hyderabad," an official release said.

Yadav had joined the police department as a sub-inspector in 1992 and had got promoted as Deputy SP this year and assumed the charge of Wardhannapet ACP on June 21, it said.
 

Warangal Commissioner of Police G Sudheer Babu and senior police officials have expressed their condolence to the family members of the deceased police official.
