An Assistant Commissioner of Police (ACP) was transferred today for not taking action against an SHO, who has been sent to police lines for allegedly patronising gamblers involved in an online betting racket.
ACP of Madhu Vihar sub-division, Veer Singh, was transferred for lacking supervisory skills, sources said, adding that he did not warn the SHO and also did not inform the district DCP about it.
According to the investigators, the preliminary probe revealed that Inspector Om Prakash of Mandawali police station had allegedly released some gamblers.
