Act if model code is violated, commissioner tells the police

Cyberabad Police Commissioner C V Anand asked the police today, to initiate immediate action whenever the model code of conduct is violated, so that there is no scope of criticism.

Addressing a meeting of Cyberabad Commissionerate officers of and above the rank of inspectors in view of the general elections-2014, Anand said that officers on checking duty must be very polite and patient towards the public, according to a release issued here today.

Emphasising implementation of the model code of conduct and preventive measures to curb the flow of money, liquor and other election influencing material, the Cyberabad Police Commissioner said , adding that visible policing has already begun and static surveillance teams as well as flying squads are being established with help from revenue authorities.
 

"Anti-social elements, rowdy sheeters and election offenders must be dealt," he said.
