Noted Australian actor Trevor Jamieson today expressed his love for theatre and how it facilitates him to interact with the world.

"We sing, dance, tell stories,we celebrate",said the actor from Subiaco, Australia, in conversation with Bina Paul,Kerala Chalachitra Acadamy Vice-Chairperson in a programme, held as part of the 22nd International Film Festival of Kerala.

'Namatjira' fame Trevor spoke about his life and customs, the culture and traditions of his homeland during his conversation with Bina Paul.

"Racism is still an issue and colonialism limits art," he said.

On how people go in search of enlightenment and peace, he remarked "We have to just believe in ourselves and realise that its right under our noses."
 

Trevor, who is also a singer, guitarist, and dancer, imparted the aura of indigenous culture, with songs of the people of Western Australia, an official release from IFFK said.
