Congress would take strict disciplinary action against leaders who will take part in the "Virat Hindu Samajotsava" being organised by the Vishwa Hindu Parishad here on March 1, Karnataka PCC President Parameshwar said today.
He told reporters here that senior Congress office- bearers would be deployed as observers to watch the movements of Bharatiya Hindu Parishad (BHP), a Hindu outfit, which was floated by a local party leader from Puttur, Hemanath Shetty, and others intending to attend the Samajotsava.
Parameshwar said the party would not tolerate any of its workers being identified with a religious outfit. The leaders participating in the VHP's proposed meet would be expelled, he said.
