A number of DGPs and IGPs expressed their concern over the growing activities of Pakistan-backed terror groups in their states and said unless the physical and financial support received by the terrorists from across the border are stopped, it is difficult to control terror strikes in the country, sources said.

At least four DGPs, in whose states several terror attacks had taken place in recent past, said the terror infrastructure across the border continued to exist as evidence collected by police intelligence agencies.

A separate session of nearly two hours had a threadbare discussion on the growing activities of IM, most of whose members are Indians, and how to check them, sources said.

This was for the first time that such a high-level meeting specially focused on home-grown terrorists who are receiving active support from across the border. (More)
