Actor becomes face of tribal-themed jewellery

Meeting the benchmark of World Gold Council a jewellery chain of East has incorporated the Paua stones of tribes in Australia and New Zealand with typically Bengali gold designs and roped in a young Tollywood heroine as its face for the region.

Having been ratified by the global body, we are now positioning the 'Adikriti' range, having motifs of Mithun in Arunachal and Rhino of Assam's Kaziranga to promote the message of saving the greeneries, extinct wild species and our indigenous people, and who but a popular Bengali film diva to promote the cause among the hordes of followers, the chain's director Rupak Saha said.
 

"I love the way the lightweight Paua stone has been crafted into the 22 carat gold, blending tradition and contemporary tastes," the popular critically acclaimed actor said checking a neck-piece.

"The whole concept, Inspired by tribal trinkets is aimed for the funky stylers who confidently carry off the neck pieces that display a rhino head, gold thorns or peacock feathers and masks of folklore," Saha whose jewelry chain does the design with marketing support from ,World Gold Council said.

The initiative has also adopted a village in north east to pour a part of the profits for health and education for the Reang population there, Saha said.
