A small-time Bollywood actor has been booked by the City Police for allegedly sexually harassing a 26-year-old model cum budding actress, the police said today.
According to the police, the actor, who played roles in some films, had been sending lewd messages to the complainant since February this year.
"The actor messaged me saying he will send men to rape me and will kill me if I approached the police," police sub-inspector MV Kapile said quoting the complaint filed last night.
Kapile said the accused also threatened her repeatedly over phone.
Following her complaint, the police have booked the actor under section 354 A (sexual harassment), 504 (intentional insult with intent to provoke breach of the peace) and 509 (word, gesture or act intended to insult the modesty of a woman) of the IPC.
The officer said no arrest was made in the case.
