Adam Driver's 2016 is already off to a stellar start, as he's been announced as the first host of "Saturday Night Live" next year.

Driver will make his hosting debut on the January 16 episode, fresh from terrifying audiences across the world with his brilliant turn as Kylo Ren in "Star Wars: The Force Awakens", reported Digital Spy.

The actor has been a series regular in HBO's "Girls" playing Hannah's (Lena Dunham) on-off boyfriend Adam, so we're very excited to see what he can do with the sketches on SNL. Dunham hosted the show in March 2014.

There's no information on who will be Driver's musical guest.

The final Saturday Night Live of 2015 was hosted by Tina Fey and Amy Poehler, which saw them perform a parody of Taylor Swift's 'Bad Blood' music video and reprise their most iconic SNL impressions.
