Singer Adam Levine is set to executive produce a Youtube Premium series titled "Sugar".
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the eight-episode series will guest star a different singer each week. The episode will feature the celebrity surprising fans who have helped or contributed to their community in some way.
Levine's "The Voice" co-judges Blake Shelton and Kelly Clarkson will appear on the show, along with music personalities like Snoop Dogg, Charlie Puth, A$AP Ferg and Bad Bunny.
Levine is the lead singer of pop band Maroon 5, whose 2014 music video of the same name inspired the series. The video, in which the band gatecrashes several weddings and surprises fans by performing for them, has earned more than 2.5 billion views on YouTube.
"I'm really excited to show this interesting show/experiment filled with many different experiences and emotions; based on the concept behind our video for 'Sugar.' I'm extremely grateful and equally excited for all who participated on both sides of the camera," Levine said in a statement.
The series will premiere on August 15 on YouTube Premium, and has been directed by Alex Van Wagner.
