Netflix has debuted the first trailer for Adam Sandler's controversial comedy "The Ridiculous Six".

The film spoofs Quentin Tarantino's latest western "The Magnificent Seven", reported Aceshowbiz.

Back in April, the movie made headlines after Native American actors walked off the set over alleged racist jokes.

"The movie has 'ridiculous' in the title for a reason: because it is ridiculous. It is a broad satire of Western movies and the stereotypes they popularised, featuring a diverse cast that is not only part of -- but in on -- the joke," said Netflix in defence.

It follows Tommy "White Knife" Stockburn who goes on an adventure-filled journey across the Old West with his five brothers when his long-lost outlaw father returns.

The supporting cast members include Will Forte, Taylor Lautner, Steve Buscemi, Danny Trejo, Terry Crews, Luke Wilson, Nick Nolte, and Rob Schneider. It will be released on December 11, on the streaming site.
