Adampur in Punjab shivers at 3.2 deg C

Adampur in Punjab was the coldest place in the state today reeling under severe chill at 3.2 degrees Celsius.

Cold weather conditions prevailed in most parts of Punjab and neighbouring Haryana.

Most places in Punjab today recorded below normal minimum temperature, a MeT Department official said here.

Amritsar, too, had a cold night at 4.8 degrees Celsius while Halwara recorded a low of 4.3 degrees Celsius.

Bathinda (4.2 C), Faridkot (4.5 C), Gurdaspur (7.1 C), Ludhiana (7.2 C) and Patiala (7.1 C) also experienced the cold weather conditions.

Chandigarh registered a low of 8.4 degrees Celsius.

In Haryana, biting cold swept Karnal at 5.2 degrees Celsius, down four notches against normal limits.
 

Hisar also recorded four degrees below normal low at 5.6 degrees Celsius.

Ambala recorded a low of 8.7 degrees Celsius, which settled within the normal level while Narnaul recorded a low of 7 degrees Celsius.
