President Pranab Mukherjee today asked paramilitary CISF to adapt new technologies and upgrade its skills for effectively rendering its duties as he greeted the force on the eve of its 46th Raising Day.
"CISF is a dedicated professional force which provides security to a wide range of critical infrastructure assets of the nation. Rapidly changing technology and ever increasing public awareness calls for continuous adaptation, skill upgradation and acquisition of new technologies by CISF. I have no doubt that CISF will continue to scale greater heights in the years to come.
"On the occasion of the Raising Day of CISF, I pay my respect to the gallant officers and men who made the supreme sacrifice in the line of duty and will remain the pride of the nation," the President said in his message to the force here.
Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) has close to 1.21-lakh personnel under its command and it is the designated force to secure country's 59 major civil airports and sensitive and critical infrastructure in the nuclear and aerospace domain among others.
