The 24-year-old biggest singing star is expected to return to the stage for the first time in 12 months to sing 'Skyfall' at next month's Oscars ceremony, reported Daily Star.
"Adele is terrified of performing after developing stage fright. Despite her last album '21' selling almost 25 million copies since its release two years ago, Adele has been struck with a crisis of confidence over recent months," a source said.
The 'Someone Like You' hitmaker's problems started in 2011 when she was forced to cancel several tour dates due to throat surgery.
Since then she has taken an extended break from public life after giving birth to her first baby last year.
