Adele has bagged a compliment from veteran singer Stevie Nicks.

Nicks, 67, while addressing the crowd in London's O2 arena midway through the show acknowledged Adele and said, "I told her, 'You're going to be me in 40 years. You're going to still be up onstage doing what you're doing because of your songwriting'."

Nicks then dedicated her performance of the ever-popular "Landslide" to Adele.

After the concert, the Oscar-winning singer took to Twitter to share a sweet photo with Nicks, who is no stranger to selfies.

"So ... Tonight was THE best night of my life," the "Rolling in the Deep" singer wrote.

"I love you Stevie Nicks!! The queen of melodies! Thanks for everything," she added.
