Singer Adele was full of smiles as she received royal honour, an MBE medal, for her contribution to music by Prince Charles at Buckingham Palace.
The 25-year-old singer was introduced in the palace ballroom as Miss Adele Adkins, she stepped forward sporting her trademark wide grin before having a short chat with Charles.
He pinned the medal for "services to music" on her Stella McCartney tea dress and shook her hand.

The Oscar-winning singer said she was honoured to recieve the royal honour.
"It was an honour to be recognised and a very proud moment to be awarded alongside such wonderful and inspirational people. Very posh indeed.
