The government today said that adequate security arrangements have been made for Centrally protected monuments in Rajasthan.
Culture minister Chandresh Kumari Katoch informed the Rajya Sabha today that the government has incurred a sum of Rs 435 lakh in 2012-13 for conservation work of the protected monuments.
While the ministry incurred an expenditure of Rs 445.49 lakh in 2011-12 for conservation work of Centrally protected monuments in Rajasthan, the expense was Rs 350 lakh in 2010-11.

"There are 162 Centrally protected monuments of Archeological Survey of India in Rajasthan," Katoch said in the House.
The development works proposal for Jaisalmer Fort recieved from Rajasthan government has been approved and the work is in progress, she said.
"The development proposals for Chittorgarh fort and Bharatpur for have also been recieved and are being processed," Katoch added.
