Press Trust of India New Delhi
Wheat prices fell by 0.48 per cent to Rs 1,875 per quintal in futures trade today as traders reduced their exposures, triggered by ample stocks position at the spot market against subdued demand.

At the National Commodity and Derivatives Exchange, wheat for delivery in January month fell by Rs 9, or 0.48 per cent, to Rs 1,875 per quintal with an open interest of 3,320 lots.

On similar lines, the wheat for delivery in February contracts shed Rs 6, or 0.32 per cent, to Rs 1,872 per quintal in 1,350 lots.

Analysts said trimming of positions by participants amid sufficient stocks in the physical market against muted demand from flour mills, mainly led to decline in wheat prices at futures trade.
