ADGP receives threat calls

Punjab's Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Mohammed Mustafa has been receiving threat calls on his mobile phone, according to a case registered with Malerkotla city police.

The alleged unidentified calls were received from another mobile phone on June 11 and 22, the FIR revealed, which was lodged following a complaint of Mustafa and referred by DIG, Cyber Crime, Mohali to SSP Sangrur on July 2.

When contacted, Sangrur SSP Mandeep Singh Sidhu today said a case under sections of Information Technology Act and various sections of IPC has been registered and a search is on to trace the whereabouts of the accused.
