"There are good facilities at the station. But there will be always scope for further improvement of passenger amenities," Chowdhury said here after visiting the Nizamuddin railway station.

He spent about 30 minutes at the station inspecting platforms, ticketing area, Foot Over Bridge (FOB), waiting halls and public conveniences.

In order to have a first hand knowledge of passengers' problems, he interacted with passengers in the waiting hall.

While instructing railway staff to take care of the passengers in the best possible way, Chowdhury also took stock of the security arrangement at the station.

Seeking public cooperation for maintaining cleanliness, he said it is necessary to maintain cleanliness not only at the stations in the national capital but also everywhere in the country for which efforts are underway.

Accompanied by Railway officials, Minister enquired about the facilities of catering, drinking water and ticketing.
