Beating the Monday blues, both "Ae Dil Hai Mushkil" and "Shivaay" have emerged stronger at the box office post a rather lean Diwali weekend with domestic collections of Rs 53.35 crore and Rs 45.91 crore respectively.
According to "ADHM" makers, it collected Rs 17.75 crore on Monday, while trade analysts have said that actor Ajay Devgn's action thriller was close behind it with Rs 17.35 crore earnings.
While Rs 53.35 crore is the net collection, the gross total of "ADHM" is Rs 76.21 crore.

Internationally, the Ranbir Kapoor-Anushka Starrer continued its strong show with USD 6.55 million (Rs 45 crore) in four days, the makers said.
The collections taste sweeter to the makers as they come despite a two-month standing protest against it by various sections owing to its casting of Pakistani star Fawad Khan.
Even on the day of its release, some states saw small groups protesting outside the theatres. Nevertheless, the film got a smooth release and the producers are, now, laughing their way to the bank.
