Adi Badri, the place of origin of Saraswati river, would be developed as a "cultural capital" as it has an important place in the Indian civilization, Haryana Education and Tourism Minister Ram Bilas Sharma said today.
"With the re-generation of Saraswati river, Adi Badri, the place of origin of Saraswati river, would be developed as a cultural capital," Sharma told reporters here.
He was talking to mediapersons after watching the spot where digging was done and Saraswati river had reportedly surfaced at village Mugalwali in Bilaspur block of district Yamunanagar.

The Haryana minister said he had talked to Union Minister of State for Tourism Dr Mahesh Sharma to develop this area as an international tourist spot and soon he would visit Adi Badri.
He said with the construction of international airport between Kurukshetra and Karnal, this area would be develop as an international spot.
Sharma said Prime Minister Narendra Modi has special attachment with this area and he had visited this area many times before becoming the PM.
Speaking on the occasion, Haryana Assembly Speaker Kanwar Pal said Saraswati river would give new direction to development of this area.
