India's Aditi Ashok was on way to her best round of 2019 before she erred and made a double bogey to lie tied eighth at the end of the third round of the CP Women's Open here.

Aditi, who shot six-under 66, was eight-under through 16 and inside the top-5 before the disastrous double bogey on 17th pulled her back.

Aditi's best this season includes a seven-under 63 in Dow Great Lakes Invitational and a seven-under 65 in the second round of the Meijer LPGA Classic. She also shot six-under 66 in the final round of the Thornberry Creek LPGA Classic.

A finish in the Top-10, which would be her best this season, would put her in the right frame as the Tour gets into the closing stages for 2019 season. There are seven more events left before the season-ending USD 5 million CME Group Tour Championship in Florida.

Rolex Rankings No. 1 Jin Young Ko and Nicole Broch Larsen are tied atop the leaderboard at 18-under heading into Sunday's final round. Meanwhile Canadian Brooke Henderson is defending her title and is two strokes behind at 16-under.

Ko and Henderson both shot 65s in third round while Broch Larsen carded her third consecutive 66.

At one stage Henderson was two-over through seven holes, but she turned things around and finished with 66 as she was 9-under through her final 11 holes with an eagle at No. 12 and seven birdies to surge back up the leaderboard.

With a win Jin Young Ko would earn her fourth win of the 2019 LPGA Tour season and become the first four-time winner since Lydia Ko in 2016.
