Cricket Association of Bihar secretary Aditya Verma has moved an application to Supreme Court for declaring N Srinivasan as ineligible or disentitled to hold the post of president of Tamil Nadu cricket Association.

The application was mentioned today before the Supreme Court by Verma's counsel Rajat Sehgal for early listing and Court has directed it to be listed on October 5.

Verma, in his plea, has mentioned that "Srinivasan should be removed from TNCA president's post since he continues to have commercial interest in the events of BCCI in breach of Regulation 6.2.4 of the Regulations fo Players, Team Officials etc. Further, a restraint is sought against Srinivasan from attending AGM/working committee of BCCI as representative of TNCA. Alternatively, the Applicant has sought that the Justice Lodha Committee looks into these aspects."

"The Applicant relies upon the judgement dated 22.1.2015 passed by the Supreme Court which disallows any person who has commercial interest from contesting in the elections," the press release signed by Verma stated.

"According to the Applicant, N Srinivasan is attempting to take advantage of his enormous clout that he wields in TNCA and would ensure that TNCA nominates him to represent TNCA in the working committee meeting of the BCCI," said the release.
