Adityanath suspends to two police station incharges, orders

Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath today ordered the suspension of two police station incharges and directed an inquiry into allegations about their involvement in illegal mining, an official statement said here.

"Chief Minister Adityanath today held a review meeting of law and order and developmental works in Hamirpur. During the review, the chief minister acting on complaints of alleged involvement of in-charges of Kurara and Lalpura police stations in illegal mining, ordered the Superintendent of Police to conduct an inquiry against them and suspend them," the official statement said.

Adityanath on this occasion also directed police officials to start patrolling during evening at prominent places.
 

"Instructions were also issued to prepare a list of top- five major and active criminals in all the police stations of the district, and initiate action against them," the statement said.

The chief minister said that positive changes must be reflected in developmental works.

Instructions were also issued to act tough on land and mining mafia.
