A senior district official and two policemen were among seven persons injured in a clash between agitators protesting the murder of a 12-year-old girl and police in Chapati village here.
The body of the girl, who was missing since yesterday, was recovered from a sack in the village this morning, Superintendent of Police Rakesh Singh said.
Additional District Magistrate Karmendra Singh, his gunner Balbeer Singh, Sub Inspector Surendra Pal Singh and four protesters were injured in the clash, which sparked off after the recovery of minor's body, sources said.

The family members and local residents blocked the road leading to Subhash crossing and damaged two vehicles, including a roadways bus.
The protest was called off following the assurance from senior police officials to take action against the guilty persons.
However, the trouble arose in the evening hours, when the girl's body was handed over to the family after post mortem.
The family members along with local residents kept the body on the railway track and blocked Delhi-Howrah route, due to which Kalka Mail and Gomti Express were stranded, sources said.
The demonstrators pelted stones at Gomti Express and damaged its window panes, they said.
After efforts failed to convince the protesters, police resorted to cane-charge, which they responded with brick-batting, sources said.
The track was cleared after more than an hour.
However, the protesters again blocked the railway track at Chandwar gate overbridge in the evening due to which Gomti Express and Delhi-bound Shatabdi Express were stranded.
Normal train traffic resumed at 8:50pm after the blockade was lifted, sources said.
