Singer Adnan Sami will be honoured with an Award of Recognition in Canada for his contribution in promoting and celebrating the South Asian heritage through arts, culture and music.
The 39-year-old will be awarded by the Speaker at the Legislature at Queen's Park, Ontario Parliament, Canada.
A special reception for him will also be organised by Shafiq Qaadri, Member of Provincial Parliament, Etobicoke North.

"If my life and music brings a smile or makes a difference in any individual's life, then there is nothing beyond for me as a God's gift. I bow my head in humility for receiving this honour from such an esteemed house," Sami said in a statement.
In 2008, the singer was honoured with a similar award by the House of Commons in Britain.
