The 31-year-old Brazilian is currently nine months pregnant with her second child with her Serbian basketball player husband Marko Jaric.
The Victoria's Secret model posted a picture of the canine on the micro-blogging site, reported Daily Mail online.
"My dog, Ivy, disappeared in Miami two days ago. Ivy means so much to me and my family... Please help me find my beloved Ivy. I am in tears," Lima wrote.
The catwalk queen left her pooch with some family friends in Miami while she is in New York and heavily pregnant, and the dog somehow managed to escape from her friend's house.
Since appealing to her Twitter followers, a number of people have offered to help the model.
