Ads for RPF posts running online are fictitious: Rlys

Railways today said that no advertisements have been issued for recruitment of 17,000 constables in the Railway Protection Force (RPF) and that such posts appearing online on some portals are "fictitious".

"Some websites are advertising regarding mass recruitment of constables in RPF.

"In this connection, it is clarified that neither such an advertisement has been issued nor being processed from the Railways. Therefore, it is advised that such advertisements are fictitious and must be ignored," the Railways said in a statement today.

The only advertisement under process is for recruitment of 1,599 woman constables in the RPF and Railway Protection Special Force, which will be notified in employment news, national dailies and in official website of Railways, it said.
