Easy precautions to defend against sexual assault. What should one do when one is stalked online?
An advice portal aimed at teens and youth in the age group of 14 years and above promises solutions to such questions based on love relationships, health and career.
"Though there are numerous online platform that offer counselling , we are specifically targetting teens and youths in age group of 14 years and above who go through various type of problems in this age such as love, relationship, sex problems, stress, loneliness, health problems, career, job and much more," says Vivek Satyamitram, the brain behind the project.
"Advice adda" launched recently aims to reach out to every city in the India, with a team of experts from a variety of fields who offer solutions, suggestions and counselling on their site.
The panel of experts include leading career counselors, psychologists, sexologists, gynaecologists, dermitologists, dieticians, sociologists and lawyers among others.
"Today in this world children and young people may have a plethora of avenues online to refer to whatever problems they might have regarding their career, health or even love life. But there is no one single place where they can get all these and that too from experts who have knowledge of the local towns and cities in the country," says the team leader behind the portal.
Delhi based celeb beauty and make up expert Chandani Singh, who has worked for big names of Bollywood and Indian fashion industry will entertain queries on beauty and make up related issues. Psychologist and counselor Anu Goel is the relationship expert where there are big names lined up for health and fitness too.
"Enquiries can be anonymous and the service is free. We plan to gradually expland and introduce stellar names in every industry for the portal to cover every nook and corner in the coutnry," says the portal manager.
A dedicated team of developers and experts in cities and towns, the portal aims to target partnershps with various organisations within the government and nongovernmental sector to fund their venture. "We are also looking at crowd sourcing options," says the manager.
Apart from the website, the forum also has a Facebook page and they also plan to enter other social media networking sites like Twitter to expand their presence.
