The advocate on whose complaint the Madrs High Court has restrained the registration of unapproved lay outs in Tamil Nadu today approached the court submitting that he was receiving threats from some unidentified persons and some lawyers.
The First Bench Comprising Acting Chief Justice Huluvadi G Ramesh and Justice R Mahadevan asked the advocate "Elephant" Rajendran to file his complaint in the form of a memo, as they could not take cognizance of oral submissions.
It was on the PIL from Rajendran he High Court had on September nine, 2016, restrained the Registration Department from registering unauthorised layouts and conversion of agricultural areas for non-agriculture use in an unplanned way.
The court had also disallowed resale of buildings constructed on unauthorized layouts.
