Press Trust of India Phagwara
Lawyers of the district court here today went on a strike to protest against alleged police inaction in vandalisation of chambers of four advocates by unidentified miscreants.

District Bar Association President R K Bhatia said four chambers of advocates were vandalised and ransacked in local tehsil court complex on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday.

But no action has been taken so far in this regard by police, he alleged.

Bhatia said that the bar would again resort to strike tomorrow if no action was taken against the miscreants.

He said that local SDM Keshav Hingonia and City SHO Paramsunil Singh Randhawa today visited the site and assured them of action against the vandals.
