Mohd Wasim, a native of Muzaffarnagar in Uttar Pradesh, had some dispute with Subhash Gupta, the taxation advocate in Laxmi Nagar, and roped in two of his friends Dharmender and Vijay Singh, all aged 21, to settle the score.

Wasim, who has completed Aeronautical Maintenance Engineering Licence Course from an institute in Dehra Dun, fixed an appointment with Gupta on December 13 on some pretext.

He asked his friends Dharmender and Singh to accompany him to Gupta's office.

The trio arrived at Gupta's office on Thursday last where Wasim and Dharmender attacked him while Singh stood guard outside.

After murdering Gupta, Wasim and Dharmender robbed his gold chain, wrist watch, mobile phone wallet, office keys and car keys and fled from the spot.
