The proposed aerospace park, being set up near here at an estimated cost of Rs 200 crore, has got environmental clearance from the State Level Environment Impact Assessment Authority.
Being set up for manufacture of aerospace components, maintenance and repair services for avionics, the venture got the approval in May, the state government said in an official release today.
Work for providing basic infrastructure facilities like roads, street lights, storm water drain in the over 245 acre facility will begin soon at an estimated cost of Rs 50 crore.

"This park will attract Rs 1,000 crore of investment in a period of five years and will generate direct employment opportunity to 10,000 people and indirect employment to 25,000," the release said.
The minister also reviewed works on a truck terminal, set up at a cost of Rs 10.8 crore, at the Industrial Park.
Jayalalithaa had already announced that an Advanced Computing and Design Centre will be set up in the aerospace park.
