AIFF secretary Kushal Das today officially declared open the Asian Football Confederation's 'One Goal' Round Table Discussion on nutrition and football here.
In his inaugural address, Das said: "I sincerely hope that this seminar goes a long way in addressing how we can link football and nutrition to serve our country."
"I just met the newly appointed Sports Minister yesterday (May 27) and he is very keen on extending support towards the development of the game on all fronts including nutrition," Das added.

The first day saw national team striker Robin Singh and India women's team goalkeeper Aditi Chauhan taking part in an interactive session where the duo shed light on the importance of nutrition in an athlete's life.
"To beat the best you need to eat the best," Robin who recently won the Airtel I-League with Bengaluru FC, said in his opening address.
"There is a strong need to educate the Coaches as well as the Parents to impart the message of proper nutrition from a very early age," Aditi quipped.
Besides AIFF, other organisations which took part included the likes of Ashoka Group, Asian Football Development Project, Back 2 Fitness, British Council, DSM, FICCI, Football Link, GAIN, GH Advocates, Magic Bus, and World Vision India.
The first day also saw experts representing the areas of nutrition, social responsibility and football development taking part in focussed group discussions and exchanging thoughts and ideas on how football can be used as a tool and platform to spread the message.
'One Goal' is AFC's flagship social responsibility initiative which aspires to be a simple, powerful campaign that will mobilise and inspire the community of over 1.4 billion Asian football fans to take action for better child nutrition.
