"This syndicate used novel modus operandi for transporting the contraband. After the carrier received the drugs in form capsules from the handler, he swallowed the same and reached India with the capsules in his stomach. On reaching Delhi he excreted the capsules through stool and delivered the same to the buyer," said Yadav.
During interrogation Jumah Khan allegedly disclosed to police that on the directions of his handler Habib, a resident of Jalalabad in Afghanistan, he had received 80 capsules of Heroin.
He swallowed them into his stomach and on last Friday he came to Delhi by air to deliver them. On reaching Delhi, he excreted the capsules with stool and collected 80 capsules containing heroin.
He then contacted Habib over phone, who gave him the number of Arif for delivery of the consignment. He opened 8 capsules and took out heroin to be produced as sample. He then contacted Arif and fixed their meeting near Oberoi Hotel where they were apprehended. He was promised 1500 US dollars for the delivery by Habib.
