African national arrested for supplying drug, overstaying

A 33-year-old African national, who allegedly supplied drugs to teenagers in pubs and discotheques in the national capital and residing in the country since the last one year without valid visa, has been arrested, police said today.

The accused, identified as Richard, was arrested by the staff of Tilak Nagar Police Station and nine gram Cocaine was recovered from him.

Information was received about supply of Cocaine by a foreign national in discotheques/night clubs of Vasant Kunj, Saket, Gurgaon, Connaught Place and Dwarka to teenagers.

"Following the tip off, a trap was laid at CRPF Camp at Tilak Vihar. At about 8 PM, one foreign national came toward police picket from outer ring road but on seeing the police party he suddenly tried to flee but was caught.
 

"On verification, he was identified as Richard. A passport issued from Kingdom of Lesotho was recovered from him but his India Business Visa was found to be expired. During search, nine gram Cocaine was recovered from his possession," said a police official, adding a case was registered and he was arrested.
