An African national was today detained here for questioning while he was allegedly trying to smuggle out drugs, including heroin, worth Rs eight crore via courier service.
Based on a tip-off, customs officials checked the substance he was trying to send abroad. The preventive wing of the Customs detained him for questioning after it was found that he was trying to smuggle out drugs including three kg of heroin through courier service, customs officials said.
They did not elaborate.
