The national capital was in for pleasant weather today after a chilly morning gave way to a sunny day which saw the maximum temperature touching 20.6 degrees Celsius, normal for this time of the year.

However, early morning fog disrupted train and flight operations with a total of 30 flights and 87 trains, including premier trains like Rajdhani and Duronto, being delayed.

Recorded at 100-m at 5.30 A.M., visibility improved considerably to 1,600-m at 5.30 P.M., a weather official said.

The minimum also rose significantly and was recorded a notch above the season's average at 8.2 degrees.

The maximum and minimum yesterday in the national capital had stood at 19 and 5.8 degrees, respectively.

The MeT office has predicted mainly clear skies tomorrow with moderate to dense fog in the morning.

"The minimum temperature will continue to hover around 20 degrees while the minimum is expected to settle at 7 degrees," said a weather official.
