The Odisha School and Mass Education Secretary today filed a fresh affidavit in Orissa High Court along with the compliance report stating that the state government has disengaged the contractual teachers who were given appointments after June 11, 2015 in violation of court orders, following the HC censure yesterday.
The High Court had expressed anguish and reprimanded the government over Ranjana Chopra's Thursday affidavit in which she had made an apparent attempt to shift the blame on the High Court for the current disengagement of the contract teachers in the State.
"This deponent (Chopra) has issued necessary orders on 20/11/2015 directing the Director of State Higher Education to disengage all the contract teachers, who were engaged/ appointed after 11/06/2015," the Secretary said in a fresh affidavit after the High Court had rejected her affidavit filed on Thursday.

A division bench of the High Court will hear that matter further on December 1.
The High Court had on June 11 this year imposed a stay on appointment of contractual teachers pending disposal of several original applications in State Administrative Tribunal (SAT).
But in contravention of the order, the state government had in the meantime given appointment to 3,802 contract teachers.
