Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi will be on a two-day visit to his parliamentary constituency Amethi from May 18 to 20.
He will address a public meeting in Kasara village on May 19. UPCC general secretary Rajiv Singh said that Gandhi will inaugurate a number of projects completed from his MP fund including marriage houses, solar water pumps and some roads.
The Gandhi's tour will come days after HRD Minister Smriti Irani visited the constituency. She had accused the Congress vice-president of misleading the people of Amethi as well as Parliament over the food park issue.
Gandhi will go to villages and meet dependents of the farmers, who lost their lives after suffering damage to their crops in recent untimely rains and hailstorms.
