After speculating that BJP leader Jagdish Mukhi is the party's chief ministerial candidate for Delhi Assembly polls, AAP chief Arvind Kejriwal today said rumours are rife that Union Minister Smriti Irani would be next Delhi chief minister if BJP comes to power.

"True? Buzz in Lutyens' Delhi - if BJP comes in power in Delhi, Smriti Irani will be CM," Kejriwal tweeted.

BJP is yet to declare any chief ministerial candidate and the AAP has been demanding that the saffron party declare its nominee for the top post.

Miffed over AAP "projecting" him as BJP's chief ministerial candidate on its posters, Mukhi served a legal notice to Arvind Kejriwal on December 26 for "misusing" his photo.

"The purpose of the tweet is push the BJP to declare its candidate who can take on Arvind (Kejriwal)," said a party leader.
