The first batch of 550 pilgrims returned here this evening after performing the annual Haj pilgrimage in Saudi Arabia.
They were received by Chief Minister Omar Abdullah at the Srinagar International airport, officials said.
Omar greeted them for successfully performing their religious duties.

The first batch had left for the pilgrimage on September seven.
As many as 8,664 pilgrims from Jammu and Kashmir have joined the Haj pilgrimage this year. Six died during the holy journey.
The return flights from Saudi Arabia to Srinagar will operate till November 15, an official spokesman said.
