Agartala witnesses decade's coldest day

"In the month of January 2003 the lowest temperature was recorded at 4.7 degrees Celsius which was so far the coldest temperature in the decade in the state," the MeT office said.

"Today it dipped to 4.6 degrees Celsius," Dilip Saha, Director of Meteorological department here said.

The temperature in the next 24 hours would remain the same with clear sky, he said.

In 1995, mercury had dipped to 4 degrees Celsius in the state.
