To 'speed-up' the process of getting a ration card, an aged man from Vasai allegedly stripped naked in front of a lady officer at the tehsil office, a district police officer said here today.
The accused and his brother went to the tehsil office and told the lady officer to issue them their mother's ration card immediately or else they would strip, Vasai police station duty officer S M Patil said.
One of the brothers took off his shirt, pant as well as his underwear and made unpleasant actions at the lady officer, Patil said, adding that the incident took place at about 5.30 pm today.
Both the brothers have been booked under Section 509 and Section 506 read with Section 34 of the Indian Penal Code, the police official said.
However, no arrest has been made in connection with the offense so far and investigations are on, the police official said.
