Agenda on Kerry's Mideast trip includes Syria, Islamic State

Syria, the Islamic State group and Israel-Palestinian violence top the agenda for Secretary of State John Kerry on his latest trip to the Middle East.

The State Department said today that Kerry plans stops in the United Arab Emirates, Israel and the West Bank.

Kerry, who was scheduled to depart tomorrow for Abu Dhabi, will meet with government officials on a range of political, security and regional issues, according to the department.
