Angry mob today ransacked the office of Block Development Officer of Roh block and set Circle Officer's jeep on fire in Bihar's Nawada district today in course of agitation for construction of a road.
Superintendent of Police Vikash Barman said that natives of Samrigarh village blocked Nawada-Kauwakol road to press for their demand for construction of a road from their village to Roh.
The protestors staging sit in near the block office suddenly turned violent and ransacking the BDO's office besides setting Circle Officer's (CO) Bolero jeep on fire.

Heavy reinforcement has been sent to the block office from district headquarters town of Nawada to control the situation, SP said adding that he along with other officials including Rajauli Sub-Divisional Officer Shambhu Sharan Pandey, Nawada Deputy Superintendent of Police Vijay Kumar Jha and other officials were camping at Roh block.
The SP said around six persons have been arrested in this connection.
The situation is under control in the Roh block, he added.
