Agra scholar's death: College alleges police high-handedness

Even as probe into the mysterious death of a research scholar here is on, administration of the college, where the girl was enrolled for her Ph.D, has accused police of high-handedness in the course of investigation.

In a press note, B G Das, director of the college where the girl was found dead, alleged that the police was ignoring provisions of the CrPC and police regulations while interrogate the alleged suspects.

Das said interrogation should be carried out in the campus and if anyone had to be taken to the police station, entries about him should be entered in police's general diary.
 

The director said he has written to the SSP in this regard.
