About 800 pensioners of state-run CSK Agriculture university have written to the governor of Himachal Pradesh demanding her to direct the authorities to disburse pension regularly.
About 800 pensioners, who were not paid pension for past four months, sent fax message to Governor Urmilla Singh, who is also the Chancellor of the university, seeking directions to the Vice chancellor for disbursement of pension regularly.
The executive committee of the Pensioners Society of the University, in a communication to the governor apprised her about non-payment of pension and pointed out that the university was getting funds for salaries and pension, but the authorities were paying salaries to inservice staff only.
"The University authorities are discriminating against the pensioners and not making payment of pension on monthly basis. We have not received pension for past four months," said pensioners society president Dr SK Phull.
