Quick service restaurant chain Subway has opened an all-women operated outlet to mark International Women's day on March 8.
With the new outlet opening in suburban Andheri, the Connecticut-based company's store count has now reached 500 in India.
"The 500th restaurant opening is a significant milestone for the Indian market. Over the years, we have witnessed a growing consumer focus towards healthier eating and Subway has been able to create a niche for itself through extensive market research and consumer outreach programmes," Subway Systems India Country Head, Manpreet Gulri, said in a statement.
